A privacy policy is a necessary component of your site if it is at all large. Enano's tools allow you to have a privacy policy that is made available as a link on the footer of every page.

How to create your privacy policy page

You can use internal links in the copyright line that you set during installation. To edit this line, go to the administration panel and pull up General Configuration. Your site's copyright notice is very close to the top of the list of settings.

Add a link to a project page named Privacy Policy. This is best done using the Project: shortcut. When you save, there will be a link to the page you entered on the bottom of every page on your site.

What to include in a privacy policy

Data protection laws vary widely between the United States, the European Union, and other areas. Consult your legal counselor for advice on what to put in your privacy policy. At a minimum, you should state what data is being collected on your site and what steps are being taken to ensure that it is not compromised.
